I met Ted through the Adoration Chapel several years ago. I admired his dedication to the Chapel. It was not easy for him to get there. Two different buses and a long walk from Arnot Ogden Hospital where the second bus dropped him off, to the Chapel. I was happy to give him a ride home, as were other Adorers.
I thought Ted was a kind and interesting man. He always sent a beautiful card on holidays, or just to let me know he was thinking of me.
COVID changed everything, and I'm not sure if he returned to the Chapel.
I am very sorry for your loss. May Ted rest in peace with his beloved Lord.

It was the most beautiful service today for Ted.
I’m sure if he were looking down he would be very proud of himself and the life he lived.
To the Reidy family, you are all in my prayers.
God bless,
T

Q: How did you meet Theodore?
A: I first met Ted when he worked at Macy’s and my mom and I would shop there frequently. He always Had a smile on his face And always a kind word. I had worked For Elmira Savings Bank At our main office where Ted frequented. He Had always walked to the bank, despite his struggles with walking. I remember giving him an umbrella because it was raining outside and he didn’t have anything. He was a very kind man that I always enjoyed seeing. May he rest in peace.

I have had so many memories of seeing uncle Ted at many family gatherings and he always seemed to have a smile on his face watching all the kids having fun and enjoying themselves. Uncle Ted may you rest in peace and fly high with the angels of god and keep on watching with Grandma and grandpa. Love you and miss you

My name is Jerry, and I knew Ted when my mother and I sat in the same pew with him for the 4 pm Mass at St.Peter & Paul's church before the pandemic. He would always have the readings & hymns bookmarked in the Missalette, so my mother could follow along during Mass, realizing she had dementia. My mother asked Ted who was going to celebrate the Mass several times, and realizing she had dementia, always replied with an understanding and patient reply. He was a good man! May he now hear the works from Matthew 25:23 "Well done, good and faithful servant.....Enter into the joy of the Lord." May he rest in peace.
