I am heart broken over the loss of my brother Dan. I am praying for Karen and Dan's children , grandkids and great grand children . As a big brother Danny stood out. He very smart and confident . My sincere condolences to the Troy family. I had the privilege of working with Dan during my time at the Horseheads NYSEG office between 1986 and 1993. I always looked forward to working with Dan, as I found him knowledgeable, straight-forward, possessing a great sense of humor and always willing to explain how a gas theft was occurring! RIP my friend.

Q: What will you never forget about Daniel?
A: There are many good memories of Daniel Troy I can speak of as his younger cousin. Among all Dan’s wonderful qualities, I will never forget one of his natural gifts: a contagious sense of humor, and an ability to make others laugh (or at minimum, smile!).
Many of my fondest childhood memories include happy family moments and time spent with several aunts, uncles, and cousins at the Troy household on Maple Avenue in Elmira. Frequently at the center of all the activities was our cousin Dan. And like his father, Uncle Fran Troy, before him, Dan knew how to make others laugh and feel good whenever in his presence.
May the Triune God bless Dan, give his soul rest, and comfort the entire Troy clan. May the Lord welcome Dan into His eternal kingdom of heaven where love, peace, tranquility, unity and reunification with beloved family await him.
Here is one more smile for you, Dan! ;-)
