In Loving Memory of Auntie Renee,
There are no words that can fully capture the depth of love, generosity, and selflessness that Renee embodied. She had a heart that gave endlessly, a spirit that uplifted everyone around her, and a kindness that left an everlasting impact.
Some of my fondest childhood memories were made with her—sleepovers filled with laughter, exciting trips to Sesame Place, and countless moments of warmth and love. But beyond the small joys, she played a role in two of the most life-changing moments of my life.
When I was planning my wedding, she helped me find the perfect venue, and coordinated several details to make it the wedding of my dreams. She even encouraged me to get ice sculptures, and I’m so glad I did. It was a magical night, one I will cherish forever, and I owe so much of it to her.
In addition, when I needed support, she came to Alabama for weeks to help me care for my newborn twins so I could focus on studying for my medical boards. Her selflessness in those moments wasn’t just a gesture—it was a profound act of love that shaped my future and allowed me to succeed.
She was the best. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support will always be a part of me. I carry her with me in my heart, in my memories, and in the person she helped shape me to be. I will miss her always, but I am forever grateful for the love she gave and the legacy she leaves behind.
