I first met Marty when Tori was one of the cheerleaders for CYO. And although we didn't know each other well we were friends. We always spoke in Wegman's or when we passed each other. Of course we always talked about his pride and joy Tori. You were both so loved and made him so happy. His great smile will always be remembered. God be with you!

Marty Whitford moved into the house across the street from my parents who were in their 80s. My parents were on their own since their three sons had moved out of town. Marty instantly adopted my parents and was so very good to them. He checked in on them and spent time visiting. When he saw ambulance lights in front of our house one night, he came over and accompanied my mother to the hospital where subsequently my father died. He was also with my mother at the hospital when she died. He was there for my parents. What a kind and caring person he was. My brothers and I are eternally grateful to Marty.

To know Marty is to love Marty. Such a wonderful man and a dear friend with a beautiful spirit. I am so blessed to have called him my friend. He is not away.... he is just in a different dimension presently. Rhonda and Tori, my heartfelt sympathy for the earthly loss of your husband and dad. It's never goodbye... rather, it's 'until we meet again.' Fly high, Marty -- Godspeed to you!

I'm so sorry to learn of the loss of Marty. I met Marty at Aetna, and there were a few of us that kind of hung around together, had lunch together, that sort of thing. After Aetna, I would run into him at various functions around town or just run into him while shopping. He always stopped to chat, even if it was just a couple of minutes. Many, many years later, I'm looking at a friend's photos on Facebook & there he was in one of them. Turns out he was a cousin to my very good friend Sharon (Sherri). As they say, it's a small world & gets smaller every day. RIP Marty, you will definitely be missed.

Dear Rhonda & Tori,
I have no words, I’m so very shocked Marty truly always was a caring, hardworking, true to his word and very direct which concludes a true “Italian”. I do consider Marty one of the most incredible person I have ever known!! Anyone that ever met him whether from his work, the people he served or just in life, Marty made a commanding impression and yes even to me. I feel terrible that such a gifted man should go before me. My heart truly aches knowing he’s no longer in our presence. God Bless You Rhonda & Tori my tears show how much this great person affected me in so many way. The part I enjoyed reading the most was “his knowing the around the kitchen” Keep those memories alive.
May God be with You, my continued prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Always a friend from a distant place

Rhonda and Tory,
We can’t know why he had to leave us, only that it was too soon. Marty lived each day with a grateful heart leaving his mark not only with family and friends but also within the community. He was an old soul that will be dearly missed . The beauty of a life well lived never dies. RIP my friend, you left your imprint on all our hearts.

The most memorable memory, I have of Marty was in High School
" Lockers in the Hall" Marty asked me to switch lockers with my twin "Tessa" because his friend "Dan "asked him to switch with him so he "Dan" can be by "Tessa"
and after all these years , Marty always said " I did that" and was so proud of himself <3 Marty's greatest accomplishment in High School.
((hugs to Tori and Rhonda)) you both are in my prayers

To the Whitford/Mustico families. We had some great childhood memories living on Magee St. So many kids playing and growing up in the "Patch" You will be missed....I was a little jealous of all the cookies you made at Christmas! Our family baked for hours as well. Rest in peace old friend....

The memories we shared at the YorkeFord family lake trips will forever be in my heart. You were the captain of our ship. Making sure everyone was tucked in before you locked down the house and sat down to watch Golden Girls. Always the first to rise in the morning, with Dan and I soon behind. The nights menu on the fridge, and you and Dan manning the kitchen and the grill to make sure we had a feast for dinner. The first and most important area to get set up was the bar, I would ask you if it were Gin O'Clock. You would say it's always Gin O'Clock at the lake. Cigars on the patio to keep away the bugs. Saluti Marty, we will miss you. We will carry on with Rhonda and Tori, and celebrate you every year.
