Obituary of Carole Anne Limoncelli McConnell
Elmira: It is with profound sadness that we announce that Carole McConnell passed away on November 19, 2024. In her final hours Carole was surrounded by her devoted husband of 57 years Ronald J. McConnell and daughter Kimberley A. McConnell.
Carole was born in Elmira NY to Joseph T. and Dorothy E. (Ryan) Limoncelli, who predeceased her. Along with her husband and daughter, Carole is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joel and Eileen Limoncelli of Ridgefield CT and Pasquale and Jackie Limoncelli of Amherst NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Donna McConnell of Elmira; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Tracy Heuser of Elmira. She was also the aunt and great aunt to: Michael and Sloan Limoncelli, and their daughters, Francesca and Victoria; Janine and Scott Baughman and their sons, Liam and Nick; Susan Limoncelli; James and Shelle Limoncelli and their sons, Charles and Joseph; Jennifer and Dante Pacella and their children, Chiara, Serena (in heaven), Angelina, and Dante Pasquale; Stephanie and Michael Bealey and her son Collin; Amy and Joel Fiorello and their children, Nathan and Jordyn; Robert Heuser and his sons, Christopher and Anthony; Brian McConnell and his sons, Benjamin and Henry; Karen and Daniel Judson and their children, Zak and Morgaan. Carole is also survived by her lifelong and very special friends, Joyce Clune and Marilyn Ervin.
Carole had worked at her father’s store, Furman Jewelers; AT&T; and taught ceramics from home for many years before becoming an Elf at The Christmas House. She ended her working career in the Fine Jewelry Department at Macy’s.
Carole was a very talented artist, from ceramics, needlework, painting, and quilting. She took great pride in decorating for holidays.
Carole was an amazing wife and mother, and we were so lucky to have her in our lives. We are bereft without her.
Per Carole’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or a funeral service. A Celebration of her Life will be held in the Spring of 2025.
