Obituary of Melody Alexandra Spicer

Age 5 months, passed away very unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.  Melody is the daughter of Torianna M. Baker and Naythan A.M. Spicer.  She is also survived by maternal grandparents Alexandra “Alli” and Paul Parinowa of Elmira; paternal grandparents Wendy and Mark Smith of Elmira; great grandmothers Melody Fifth and Jackie Probasco; great grandfather Julio Goyco (Leslie); aunts and uncles, Trista Baker (Owen Weigle), Brielle Baker, Johnathan Baker, Miley Baker, Hayden Baker, Kason Kellogg, Nicholas “Nick” and Emily Spicer, Nichole Spicer; great aunts and great uncles, Valerie and Mike Darrow, Julie Jensen, Jaime Reyes (Edwin), Joseph Fifth (Kathy), Melissa Fifth (Robert Daube), Emilio Matos, Marysol Vargas, Julio Goyco Jr.,  Bradford Chilson (Alisa), Dale Chilson, Joyce Hackett, Stephanie Davenport (Timothy) and Nikki Jenner.

Even though Melody’s time was short, she made a huge impact on everyone who met her. We fell in love from the moment we saw the ultrasound, but fell deeper in love the day we met her. She was the happiest baby, her smile lit up the whole room. She loved watching Moana with her mommy & daddy and listening to and chewing on her rattles. She loved being held close by her parents and grandparents. Melody spent the entirety of her life surrounded by love. 

Family and friends are invited to call at McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  A service for sharing memories will follow at 5:00 p.m.
