Joseph F. Clune Age 65, of Narrowsburg, NY, formerly of Elmira, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center - SNF. Joe was born July 16, 1945, in Elmira, a son of the late Faustin J. and Ann (Dooley) Clune. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his twin brother John J. Clune. Joe is survived by his brother Paul F. Clune of Dallas, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Marianne and David Wichtowski of Pine City; sister-in-law Kathy Clune of California; nieces and nephews, Michael (Melissa) Wichtowski of Elmira, Michelle Wichtowski of Elmira, Paula Noden, with husband Todd McLaughlin, of California, Glenn Clune and Jason Clune; along with great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrew and Allyson Wichtowski of Elmira, Connor, Kennedy, and Kate Noden of California. Joe was a retired Correction Officer with 30 years of service. Most of his career was with the Woodburne Correctional Facility in Sullivan County. A lover of dogs, Joe had 2 dogs that went before him, Cujo and Lucky, and leaves behind Rosie his 3 year old Kerry Blue Terrier. Joe had a great love for his hometown of Narrowsburg and the people who lived there. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., funeral service to follow at 4:45 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery, Horseheads. Donations in Joe's memory may be directed to Arnot Ogden Medical Center Foundation, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira, NY 14905.
