Rose J. Huntington
Elmira: Age 78, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Rose was born August 22, 1932 a daughter of Howard and Rose (Surdam) Amacher. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Robert C. Huntington Jr., two sons, Robert Huntington III and wife Zenaida of Washington State, William Huntington and wife Christina of Newburgh, New York: Grandchildren: Robert, William, Christopher, David and Douglas; sisters and brother-in-law, Minerva Junquist of Wellsboro, PA, June and Don Brion of Liberty, PA. In addition to her parents Rose is predeceased by sisters, Roberta Scabloski, Patricia Amacher and Jean Enderle; brother-in-laws, Harry Junquist, Mike Scabloski, and Ted Enderle. Rose was bon in Galeton, PA. She married Robert in 1955. She attended the nursing school at Arnot Ogden Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse for many years. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Rose's memory may be directed to Multiple Sclerosis Upstate New York Chapter 1650 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
