Obituary of Ann Chapman Davis

Ann Carr Chapman Davis Elmira: formerly of Maple Ave., passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010. Ann was the daughter of the late Wilson K. Chapman and Elisbeth Carr Chapman. She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Davis. Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathryn D. and Dr. Cornelius J. Milliken of Elmira; son Thomas C. Davis of Tampa FL; grandchildren Kathryn A. Milliken of Brooklyn NY, Cornelius J. "Ned" Milliken IV of Pittsfield MA, Mary E. Milliken and Ann M. Milliken both of Elmira, Jordan T.C. Davis of Peachtree City GA; brother Wilson K. Chapman of Auburn ME. Mrs. Davis taught for twenty four years at Southside High School and was the class advisor for the Class of 1979. She was a graduate of Elmira College, having earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Prior to her death she had been active in the Elmira Kennel Club. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Anyone who wishes may give a donation to his or her favorite charity in Ann's memory. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Chemung County Nursing Facility.
