Obituary of Pearl Irene Cortright

Pearl Irene Cortright Elmira: Age 77, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center with members of her loving family by her bedside. Pearl was born in Elmira, a daughter of the late Leslie and Ella May Woodard. She was predeceased by her husband Harry B. Cortright in 2001 and three infant children. Pearl is survived by her children and their spouses, Edward J. and Julie Cortright of Biddeford ME, Grace E. Partain of Elmira, James L. Cortright of Shapleigh ME, Robert H. and Nancy Cortright of Summerfield FL, Laura L. Cortright of Biddeford ME; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Boynton of Elmira, Rosie and John Spencer of Erin, Ella May and Robert Palmer of Elmira; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pearl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Horseheads. Pearl was a former volunteer for R.S.V.P. and Pathways. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service with Pastor Steve Connor will follow at 4:15 p.m. Interment will take place Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Donations in Pearl's memory may be directed to the Church of Christ, 165 Miller St., Horseheads NY 14845.
