Obituary of Daniel Anthony Carozza

Age 76, of Schenectady NY, formerly of Elmira, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Danny was born and raised in Elmira a son of Peter A. and Rose (Insogna) Carozza. He is survived by his children: Corrie Carozza, with Mark Bowen, of Alameda CA…Kyle W. Carozza, with Jenny Frantz, of Schenectady NY…Jesse C. Carozza of Schenectady NY; former wife and lifelong friend Carol (VanGorder) Carozza of Schenectady NY; siblings and their spouses, Linda and Joseph Cost of Elmira, Peter A. and Paula Carozza of Edgewater MD, James and Patty Carozza of Elmira; along with several nieces and nephews. Danny was a 1964 Elmira Free Academy graduate. He served in the US Army reserves for a few years. Danny was an entrepreneur in the Elmira area. At various times during the 1970's and 1980's he owned Danny's Time Out, opened Casa di Carozza with his brother Peter; and with Dale Ramich purchased a garbage business. He eventually sold these business' and moved out of the area. Danny settled in the Albany area in 1988, continuing to grow and raise his family, until his passing. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m. Private interment will take place at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
