Age 38, died Friday, October 28, 2022 in Ithaca. Michael is survived by his parents, Homer "Butch" and Marilyn Ploucha Monroe of Elmira; sister, Toni Monroe with Craig Lane of Dundee NY; brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Kelly Monroe of Dothan AL; niece and nephews, Brittany (Steven) Oliver, Jakob Johnson and Connor Monroe; biological grandmother Barbara Saxon of Texas; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is predeceased by his biological mother Alisa Hart; maternal grandparents Eugene and Helen Ploucha; paternal grandparents Carl and Wanda Monroe. Michael's journey in life took him from living in Florida to California and New York State. Growing up he was a model and actor who played in movie and TV commercial rolls. For a period of time he was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Michael was and excellent guitarist and was also a self-taught piano player. He was known for helping others and having a gentle soul. Services for Michael will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, 3:00 p.m., at Twin Tiers Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8 Canal Street, Big Flats NY 14814.
