Mary Catherine Mace Buffalin Died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Yeneza Assisted Living in Gilbert, Arizona. Mary was born November 4, 1921 in Elmira NY. She was the daughter of Tracey and Alice (Daly) Mace. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph D. Buffalin and her brothers, Charles Mace and Tracey Mace and her grand-daughters Kati and Kari McMorran. Mary is survived by her son, Joseph (Margaret) Buffalin of Gilbert, AZ and her grandchildren Stephen Buffalin of Gilbert, AZ; Kevin (Petra) Buffalin; and great grandson Daniel Hufnagel of Queen Creek, AZ; Kristin Buffalin (Robert Gomez) and great grand-daughter Haley Buffalin of Gilbert, AZ and step great-grandchildren, Sierra Gomez of Gilbert, AZ and Colton Gomez of Gilbert, AZ and step-grandchildren, William Mele of Denver, CO; Nicholas Mele of Gilbert, AZ and Elyse Mele of Gilbert, AZ. Mary is also survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Bruce) McMorran of Gilbert, AZ and her grandchildren Jennifer Buffalin-Daines of Albany, NY; Ashley McMorran of Gilbert, AZ; Gabrielle (Aaron) San Antonio of San Bruno, CA; Brian McMorran of Los Angeles, CA and Kira McMorran of Gilbert, AZ. Also surviving is her brother, Robert (Winnie) Mace of Elmira; sister, Irene Williams of Elmira and Latham, NY; brothers, Eugene (Margaret) Mace of Enterprise, AL; William (Virginia) Mace of Montgomery, AL; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and her extended family at Yeneza Assisted Living. Mary was a homemaker and devoted grand-mother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting and selling antiques and her Barbie dolls. She was a life-long communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Elmira. She enjoyed playing BINGO in her later years. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home at 502 West Water Street, on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1100 W. Church St., at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Catholic Charities of Chemung County, 215 E. Church St., Suite 100, Elmira, NY 14901, in memory of Mary Catherine Buffalin.
