Obituary of Cecelia E. Dobranski

Cecelia E. Dobranski Elmira: Age 86, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011. Cecelia was a daughter of the late Jacob F. and Clara (Wituski) Rohde. She is predeceased by her husband John Dobranski; sister Clara Brown, brothers, James, Charles, Arthur and Edward Rohde. Cecilia is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Patricia Dobranski of Elmira; daughter and son-in-law, Rozann M. and Thomas Willis of West Virginia; grandchildren Martin Dobranski of Corning, Elaine LaBell of Virginia with husband Luke, and Jonathan Schultz of Horseheads; sister Lorraine M. Shaffer of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Maryann Rohde of Florida; sisters-in-law Judah Rohde of Hornby NY, and Verna Hamula of New York; brother-in-law Percy Brown of Horseheads; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She had been a longtime volunteer at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Cecelia was a member of the Chemung County Home Bureau. She was a devout communicant of Blessed Sacrament parish. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cecelia may be directed to Blessed Sacrament Parish, 604 Park Place, Elmira NY 14901. Cecelia's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Barton's Adult Home for the wonderful care provided to her over the past 13 months.
