Obituary of Kathryn P. Parke

Kathryn P. Parke Elmira: passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, SNF. Kathryn was born January 13, 1923 the daughter of Henry C. and Catherine (Cahill) Palmer. Her husband Robert L. Parke predecased her in 1992. She is also predeceased by her brothers, James and Francis Palmer, and sister Christina Main. Kathryn is survived by her sister-in-law Madeline Palmer; brother-in-law Jeff Main; nieces and nephews, Catherine and Ron Hollenbeck, Jim and Mary Palmer, Paul and Jackie Main, John and Rita Main, Marilyn and John Scanlin; along with several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Kathryn was a volunteer for over 20 years at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Medical Records Department. She was a communicant for 37 years at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts., on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Kathryn with a donation to the West Elmira Library, 1231 W. Water Street, Elmira NY 14905. Kathryn's family thanks the staff at Woodbrook, Dr. Corbalan, and the staff of the 5th floor Skilled Nursing Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital for the wonderful care Kathryn received over the last several years of her life.
