Daniel William Cheney
Age 47, affectionately known as Danny, formerly of Waverly, NY found peace as he went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012. He was born to Donna L. (Morrison) and G. William Cheney II on September 29, 1964 in Elmira, NY. Danny had various jobs throughout his life but by far his most important role was that of being a stay at home Dad. In earlier years, Danny loved tucking his three beautiful children into bed each night. His children were his greatest accomplishment and brought such joy to his life. Danny was a NASCAR and motocross enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing with his son, hunting, and all things outdoors. Danny is survived by his three children, Brooke, Brandon and Brianna Cheney with mother Jamie Seymour of Candor, NY; Bryan, a son he never had the opportunity to know, but loved very much; mother and stepfather, Donna Morrison Grey and Dennis Grey of Lowman, NY, father, Guy William "Bill" Cheney II of Waverly, NY; brothers: Guy William Cheney III of Boone, NC, Edward Cheney of Maui, Hawaii; sisters: Christina (Cheney) Volpi of Wilkesboro, NC, Katherine (Cheney) Mann (Ted) of Elmira Heights, NY and Melissa (Cheney) DeKay of Sayre, PA; loving nieces and nephews, Joseph, Dustin, and Christopher Volpi, Sandra and Allycia Mann, Megan DeKay, and Madison and Matthew Harford. Danny is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins from New York, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Georgia and a special friend of the family Lori Ann Mosier of Corning, NY.
