John J. McNamara "Jack" Age 89, of Oak Ridge TN, formerly of Elmira, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Oak Ridge. Jack was born in Elmira, son of John B. and Irene (Wall) McNamara. He was predeceased by his wife Constance Hayes McNamara and daughter Ann McNamara. Jack is survived by his granddaughter Jillanne McNamara of Elmira; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Joyce Hayes, and Dee Cusick Hayes Overton all of Elmira; longtime friend Helen McInerney of Oak Ridge TN, along with her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Ken Fricke, with whom Helen and Jack resided; along with several nieces and nephews. Jack was a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church in Elmira before moving to Oak Ridge three years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Jack retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Msgr. John J. Lee Div. of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Donations in Jack's memory may be directed to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, 555 St. Joseph's Blvd., Elmira NY 14901. Members of the Msgr. John J. Lee Div. of the A.O.H. will meet at St. Mary's Church on Monday at 9:45 a.m. to form an honor guard for the funeral service of our brother Jack. Signed, Dan O'Herron, President
