Age 41, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Amy is the daughter of Kathleen Knickerbocker Piersons of Horseheads. In addition to her mother she is survived by her step-father Jeff Piersons; children: Kali Newkirk with husband Brian Porreca of Jacksonville NC, son Gage Marmor of Southport; fiancé: Christopher Dean of Southport; siblings: Kristie Seager of Bath, Guy (Jilda Flores) Newkirk, Jr. of Horseheads, Nicholas (Sarah) Piersons of North Vale NJ, Bradley Piersons of Oceanside CA; brother-in-law: Patrick Seager of Bath; nieces and nephews: Drew and Dalton Seager, Kendra Newkirk, Paige Newkirk, Cameron Seager, Tiffany Newkirk, Allison Newkirk, Mason Piersons, Izzy Newkirk, Logan Piersons; great-niece and great-nephews: Kolton, Rowyn and Kreigton Seager; special cousins: Wendy Smith, Alyssa Brown. Amy was a secretary at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center OR for sixteen years. In February 2018 Amy had set a goal to enjoy life and live it to the fullest. She was the event planner of the family whether it was for a girl's night out, Christmas cookie decorating, kayaking or white water rafting. First and foremost though was her family who will forever love and miss her. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m.
