Frank was a man of great faith, spending many of his ours here on earth, in prayer. Fly on Frank, fly on!

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Francis. He was a gentleman of men, and always seemed to be an exceptional judge of character. He enjoyed being the best dressed man in the room and took pride in his religion. He was respected and loved by anyone who got to know him, and will truly be missed. Your smile and cynical laughter was contagious and is what I will miss the most. Rest in peace Frank.

Frank,
I have known you for 13 years. You we're 84 at that time and still feisty as ever. You would pace the hallway and kitchen waiting for the dish washer to finish so you could put everything away. You tell everyone, " that's my job." You would watch the Catholic channel on TV, game shows in the evening.
When we (staff) would check on you in your room you would either be sitting on your bed with your Bible or kneeling by your bed praying. You would laugh at staff and the guys at the dinner table.
Frank you will be missed, you have been at the IRA when it opened. You have been apart of a lot of people's lives. Love ya Frank

I met Frank in 1999. He was quietly accepting of yet another new staff. He was hard of hearing and through the years attempts were made to get him helpful hearing aids but it was decided he only used hearing aides as plugs to drown out the noise of loud housemates and annoying staff. He read his Bible “religiously”, it went everywhere he did. He was in charge of dishes and took this job to heart. He loaded and unloaded the dishwasher then put them away when they were done. He was very independent, doing his own self care, not relying on anyone else. As time went by he slowly gave up his care to others. He was also a fiesy man, joking with staff and also making his frustrations known. He teased staff putting his “dukes” up and then laughing. He spent a lot of alone time in his room, watching tv, reading his Popular Science Magazines. He was loved by staff and friends at Elcor Day Treatment. He lived in a quiet dignity. We loved him and the Big Flats IRA family will be sadder for his loss. RIP dear Frank.

Frank was a joy to be around at the Big Flats IRA. Frank loved reading the sports page and checking the Baseball Scores most days after breakfast. You will be missed in the IRA!
