Age 69, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Tiffie was born in Elmira, son of the late Clifford J. French, Jr. and Uhretta (Sours) French. He is also predeceased by his wife Patricia Ann Stempin French. Tiffie is survived by daughter Kimberly A. French with husband Benjamin Wilcox of Elmira and her daughter Macie Barone; son Christopher E. French of Ellicott City, MD; sister Darlyn "Doll" Evans of Elmira; brothers, Calvin "Rocky" French, Allen "Rick" French, Shawn "Jock" French, all of Elmira, and Bill Barber of Oklahoma; his canine buddy Geronimo; several nieces, nephews and a host of great friends. Tiffie was a graduate of EFA. He had a lifelong love for sports. Tiffie was an active participant in several sports in his younger years. He coached Cinderella Softball for over twenty years and was beloved by all the girls he coached. He also coached basketball for several years. Tiffie was an avid New York Giants fan and fantasy football participant. He loved to collect ball caps and has a closet full of them. Tiffie was a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Horseheads. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held. Burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery.
