Age 75, of Elmira passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 9, 2016 with her loving family by her bedside. Lorraine was born in Jersey City NJ, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Gambino) Miller. She is also predeceased by her son Francis Slade. Lorraine is survived by her children, Robert Slade of Louisville KY; Melissa Slade of Elmira Heights with her daughter Ashlee Backus; Mark Slade of Horseheads; Christina Slade of Elmira Heights with her children, Chelsea Hutsick, Tyler and Kyle Northup; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Betty Siecieska of Wayne NJ, Frank Siecieska of Big Flats, Denise Siecieska of Elmira; faithful canine companion Bella; numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was a LPN at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and retired after 27 years of service. Family was always first and foremost to Lorraine and she truly enjoyed attending her granddaughter's high school and college volleyball games. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:15 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
