Please share a memory of Randolph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
"Randy" Age 72, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2015 as the result of an automobile tragedy. Randy was born in Camp Hill PA on December 21, 1942, a son of the late Truman and Margaret Painton. In addition to his parents Randy is predeceased by his sister Jane Maloney and brother Truman Painton. Randy is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Patricia Leach Painton; children with their families, Randy Painton of Dallas GA with children Karlie, Channing and Karina; Christopher and Amy Painton of Beaufort SC with daughter Lily; Michael Painton of Covington GA; Michelle Painton Mabry of Norcross GA with daughter Saige; Keith Painton of Flowery Branch GA with son Kane; Louis and Karen Tessier of Sterling VA with children Angela, Zack, Andrew, Maggie and Patrick; Scott Tessier of Poughkeepsie NY with children Brandon, Nicholas and Samantha; Joshua Tessier and Teresa Smoot of Bristow VA with children Danielle, Samantha, Taylor, Todd and Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Paula Painton of Coraopolis PA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Crystal Painton of Maryland, Daniel Maloney of Pinehurst NC, Mary Lou and Peter Liotino of Mooresville NC, Arthur and Sandy Leach of Flowery Branch GA, Joy Leach and Rich Goodstein of Santa Barbara CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Randy was the consummate family man and best friend who typically placed the needs of those he loved and cared for above his own. Never one to remain idle for long it was not uncommon for him to travel long distances to support his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in various endeavors. He was an avid golfer who made every effort to play no matter where he was or who he was with. Randy played regularly with his dear friend Lou Fossaceca at Soaring Eagles. His patience and strength of character were defining traits that will have a lasting effect on those fortunate enough to have known him. At family gatherings you always knew where Randy was because he was surrounded by a cloud of grandchildren often climbing on him. Along with his wife, Randy was a welcoming entertainer of family and friends. His door was always open and there was always room for one more person, in his view (even if there really wasn't). He started his professional career in the industrial filtration business at Hilliard's in the early 1960's after a brief period of time in the seminary. He remained in the filtration industry throughout his entire career owning and running a number of small businesses, participating in multiple industry associations throughout the years, prior to concluding his career at Northeast Filter as a Sales and Technical Support Executive. A consummate gentlemen, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and good friend Randy will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
