A little late in learning about Chief Erway's passing. I extend my condolences to the entire Erway clan. Chief and I was stationed at McGuire AFB together, we knew each other briefly as he was transitioning in I was transitioning into retirement. As part of the squadron's leadership team, Chief was kind to me and treated me with much respect . He spoke at my retirement ceremony and surprised me with a great review of my career and passion for our Air Force. His kindness was and is greatly appreciated. May he find rest with our universal source from which we came. May he enjoy the view of our universe like only a United States Airman could.
This memorial candle represents the light that Phil spread in the world during is time on Earth. The twinkle in his eyes and his smile on his face lit up a room. This light will continue to shine in our hearts as we remember him and the gifts that he shared with everyone around him. My deepest condolences to his family and all of his friends.
My heart goes out to the entire ERWAY FAMILY.....Phil was an inspiration to all especially in our choir practices at St. Mary's. It was an honor to have the opportunity to Sing to the Lord with you Phil! I continue to hear your strong yet smooth voice in my ear.
Rest in Peace Dear Friend!
